What is a chocolate fountain?

It is basically a 44 inch tall chocolate fondue fountain.  The base of the fountain houses a heating element where a reservoir of 10kg of chocolate is gently warmed up.  Once melted, the warm chocolate is drawn up through the centre to the top of the fountain where it then cascades over the tiers and down into the base, completely covering the 4 tiers and creating sheets of warm flowing chocolate, ready to dip into.

Will a Chocolate Fountain be suitable for my event?

Yes! A chocolate fountain is the latest must-have centre-piece.  As long as your event is indoors (marquee acceptable), a chocolate fountain will be suitable.  We cater for bridal / baby showers, parties, weddings, graduation balls & corporate events/exhibitions etc..

Do you use oil in the Chocolate Fountains?

NO we never use oil in our chocolate fountains, We only use the finest of Belgian Chocolate for our customers, some other "cheaper" companies will use oil and the reason they do this is to thin the chocolate and to cut down on their costs, Sometimes we may need to add a small amount of cocoa butter to our smaller machines but as you know cocoa butter is already found in chocolate, so this will not impair the flavour in any way. Our chocolate is "delicious"

What is included?

A Chocolatier/Associate will be present to set up the machinery and assist you and your guests throughout your event.  We also supply a choice of 10 Belgian chocolate flavours (Milk, White, Plain, Orange, Caramel, Strawberry, Lemon, Cappuccino, Hazelnut Milk Choc, Honey Milk Choc), A selection of dips, skewers, napkins.  Fresh flowers to match your own choice and we also match your chosen colour scheme. We like our table to blend in with the rest of the reception.

Can I use my own dipping foods?

Yes, but there are foods that are not suitable (i.e.. crumbly biscuits/cake). We can advise on what is best suited and we will manage them for you.

What will I need to supply?

The machine and chocolate will weigh approximately 45kg. we will therefore require a sturdy table, approximately 6ft in diameter with access to a standard 13 amp socket.  Your venue will assist you with this.  Please provide table cloth /covering. Please note that serving plates are not supplied as standard. Your choice of venue may be able to accommodate should you require plates.

How long will a Chocolate Fountain Last?

Depending on how many guests you have, it will last indefinitely as the chocolate depletes, we will continue to top up the fountain to ensure a smooth flow during your event.  We will arrive an hour prior to you requiring the fountain to enable us to set up the machinery, chocolate & dips.   We normally recommend 3 hours for guest numbers of 100 or less. The more guests you have the longer we would recommend.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

A 50% non-refundable deposit is payable to secure any booking with the balance payable at least 4 weeks prior to your event. We accept cheques or cash.

How soon do I need to book?

This is fast becoming the most popular centre-piece and in some cases replaces the more traditional wedding cake.  We would therefore recommend you book the Chocolate Fountain for your event as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.  You can book as far in advance as required.
